The newspaper headlines read: free preventive care available and children to age 26 can be added onto your plan. These stories implied that the new benefits were available to everyone immediately.

What they forgot to mention was that these Federal Reform benefits phase in as employer plans renew on or after September 23rd (non-grandfathered, because they're new!). The good news is, your employees are hearing about the benefits of healthcare reform coming to their plan. The bad news is that you may have to tell them that these benefits are not quite here yet.
